Gionee Elife S5.5 Full Specs, Features, Price in the Philippines

Gionee proudly released Gionee Elife S5.5 which they claimed to be the thinnest smartphone in the world at only 5.5mm. That’s very impressive considering that Huawei Ascend P6 is 6.2mm thick. Even PinoyTechCorner was impressed about this phone features.

Aside from the "tomato-slicing" thinness, Gionee Elife S5.5 is also a monster phone with an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM plus a whole lot of jaw dropping features including the ability to take full body selfies!

Gionee Elife S5.5 is powered by MediaTek’s 1.7GHz octa core processor which should give you a very smooth Android experience.

There’s 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage for installing and running your favorite apps and games smoothly.

One thing that we should worry about with thin smartphones is the battery life. However, Gionee promises a whole day of 3G talk time with Elife S5.5’s 2,300 mAh battery.

Notice the golden sides of Elife S5.5? Those are actually the magnesium alloy frame of the smartphone.

Both the back and front of Gionee Elife S5.5 are covered with a 0.4mm Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches and compression.

I was impressed even more with its display with a full HD resolution and Super AMOLED technology. It makes the icons of the highly customized Android Jelly Bean OS named Amigo OS pop.

However, the front camera stands out with its autofocus feature (most phones lack autofocus for the front camera) and 95° wide angle capability.

This means that you can take a full body selfie with Gionee Elife S5.5 without having to stand in front of a mirror!
