How to Flash Samsung Original Firmwares on Phone and Tab

Dear PTC readers, did you installed a custom ROM on your phone and experienced problems with it? Did you encounter errors and bugs after updates? Then you may want to flash your phone's firmware back to it's original state. It's actually pretty easy. You'll only need to download a few software and say hello to the original Samsung firmware again!

Software for Flashing Samsung Phones

You need to download these:
1. Download and install ODIN on your computer- for flashing

2. Right firmware for your phone. Search for your phone's firmware at SamMobile.

3. Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer- optional. You will only have to download Kies if your computer does not recognize your Samsung phone.

Flash Original Samsung Firmware Using Odin

After downloading and installing the applications mentioned above, you can now proceed with the flashing procedure:

1. Turn your phone off and boot it into Download Mode. 

2. To boot into Download Mode, press and hold HOME+POWER+VOLUME DOWN simultaneously until your phone will boot into download mode.

3. After booting into Download Mode, connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable.

4. Open ODIN. COM will appear on one of it's bars indicating that a connection between ODIN and phone has been established. If all bars remain blank, reconnect your phone to your computer. If still it won't work, install Kies and try again.

5. Make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time has check marks.

6. Click on PDA and locate the firmware that you have downloaded from SamMobile.

7. On the folder, you should find a file that has a .TAR extension - choose it.

8. Double check step 5 and 6 before clicking on Start.

9. ODIN will now start flashing the firmware. Your phone will restart for a few times. If it won't you can restart it yourself.

10. Your phone is back to its original unrooted firmware now!
